The timeline for LCA and Digital Product Passport requirements under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR, Reg. EU 2024/1781) has been extended. The delegated act for textiles and apparel now points to compliance around Q4 2027, with an 18 month implementation period until 2029.
Good news for planning, but we'd encourage brands not to wait: measuring now means your data is ready well ahead of the deadline, and quantified impact figures give you an advantage in tenders and B2B conversations while much of the market is still catching up.
